Summary
The aim of this work was to review the research relating to the evaluation of quality of children’s life with ADHD from different regions of the world, in the light of research using the Child Health Questionnaire (CHQ). The analysis of the studies revealed that the children with larger number of symptoms of ADHD had worse quality of life, in comparison with children with smaller number of symptoms. Also, the studies showed the effectiveness of pharmacological treatment and connected with this an improvement of quality of life and psychosocial functioning among studied children. According to the study results, both children with ADHD as well as their parents presented significantly lower quality of life in comparison with control groups.
