Material and methods
A questionnaire form, consisting of 28 open and closed questions was used. The questionnaire forms were filled in by women in an age bracket from 14–24 years. This approach provided a wide variety of participants who were at different educating levels, junior high school pupils, secondary school pupils and medical school students.
Results
31 women took part in examination. BMI analysis demonstrated that straight majority polled has the perfect scale, but they want to slim down (80.6%), most often to 5 kg. In 31 polled: 7 (22.6%) are underweight, 20
(64.5%) – perfect scale, and 4 (12.9%) – excess weight. 5 of 25 persons wanting to slim down are underweight. One of them wants to slim down about 10 kg. This is a woman exposed the most to anorexia nervosa, because she demonstrated the most typical symptoms for anorexia nervosa.
