Material and methods
The study involved the group of 200 respondents. They were adult individuals who were vaccinated against influenza in 2000–2005. In the study, a method of diagnostic survey was used with a questionnaire as a research tool (author’s own design). Statistical calculations were performed using the chi-square independence test.
Results
Information in media on the emerging epidemic was an important factor mobilizing people to vaccinate against influenza. Work in health care centres as well as the level of medical knowledge have an effect on the decision on vaccination against influenza virus, and this interrelation is statistically significant.
