Summary
In this paper the general characteristic of Gram-positive cocci of Staphylococcus genus was presented complying mainly their taxonomy, chemical and biochemical qualities differentiating Staphylococcus from Micrococcus genus, the occurrence of staphylococci in natural environment and in human and the occurrence of staphylococcal infections in animals and resistance to antibiotics.
